Jessica Wong is an award-winning product, furniture, and interior architecture designer based in Singapore. With a background in architecture and a passion for traditional Asian craft, her work explores the intersection between material storytelling, heritage, and contemporary design.
Jessica graduated with an Honours degree in Architecture from the National University of Singapore, where her early training instilled a sensitivity to space, form, and function. An internship in Shanghai became a turning point, exposing her to the richness of traditional craftsmanship and sparking a lifelong fascination with the values embedded in traditional materials and techniques.
Her work draws deeply from Asian heritage, reinterpreting the techniques, values, and aesthetics of traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens.
Rooted in architectural thinking and cultural sensitivity, Jessica’s practice honours the wisdom of shifus (mastercraftsmen) and the invisible histories embedded in objects and materials. Her designs are designed to evoke memory, meaning, and quiet elegance, while inviting reflection on the human relationship with craft, place, and ritual.
Through her thoughtful integration of heritage, form, and functionality, Jessica seeks to create timeless designs that are emotionally resonant and culturally rooted, yet decidedly modern in expression.

Jessica’s work has been recognised with numerous accolades, including a Special Commendation at the President’s Design Award (2014), the ASEAN Furniture Design Award (2018), and the Singapore Creator Awards (2019). In 2025, her signature works — the XUAN Table, SHANG System, and JIA JU Rocking Stool — were acquired by the Asian Civilisations Museum, a testament to her contribution to contemporary Asian design.
Jessica is also the designer of Nature Native, a homegrown Singapore design brand that celebrates natural materials, cultural memory and quiet rituals.
